Mikel Stika Bio

Mikel Stika grew up in Albania in the shadows of Dajti mountain in Tirana. As a young boy, he discovered that he could draw most things better than his peers. And that he would rather draw or paint than do about anything else.

At the age of 14 he was accepted into the Tirana Arts High School, the only school of it's kind at the time. He continued his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Fine Art and Costume and Stage Design in 1994

After moving to the US in 1995, he had his first exhibit in Puerto Rico where he successfully sold all his collection.

After moving to Maryland in 1998 he continued to paint and has exhibited at Yellow Barn at Glenn Echo Park, and has had regular shows at his private studio in Bethesda, MD.

He has also been involved in community theaters across Montgomery County Maryland, and designed many shows at The Silver Spring Stage, Potomac Theatre Company, Rockville Little Theatre, and F Scott Fitzgerald Theatre.

His paintings have been sold to private collectors in the US, Greece, Albania, United Kingdom, and Puerto Rico.

Mikel paints from his private studio in Bethesda MD. His special interest is in landscape paintings using All-Mediums.
